The Role
Suntory Global Spirits has committed to implementing standard global process leveraging industry best practices across our Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence. This will require a Supply Chain transformation program to evolve our global way-of-working across Supply Chain Planning & Fulfilment supported by a best in class Analytics capability. The Supply Chain Planning & Fulfilment Center of Excellence (CoE) is essential to the development and implementation of this business transformation program. 

The Senior BI Analyst/Developer leads the creation of sophisticated data models and comprehensive reports. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic use of data across the organization, supporting decision-making, and mentoring junior analysts.

This position is primarily accountable for the development of advanced data models and reports, development of comprehensive dashboards and delivery of analytics projects within Supply Chain Planning and Fulfilment. Partnering with the CoE and IT, this role is pivotal in embedding best practices and driving innovation in our analytics capabilities.  You will join workshops to understand use cases and support design discussions to translate requirements into a robust user experience ensuring data standards and best practices are followed. You will lead development of sustainable models, developed around source of truth datasets and best in class visualizations that impress users and make insight generation simple. You will ensure that data governance and standards are a key priority by developing in line with internal process and best practice and flushing out opportunities to improve process and data quality. You will support innovation and our vision to become a best in class analytics capability by identifying opportunities in our modelling and report building to build on the solid foundation already set.  

Role Responsibilities

This position will report to the Director - Supply Chain Analytics COE
Key Responsibilities Include the Following
Analytics Project Delivery:
•    Lead the development of advanced data models and reports in line with technical implementation standards and best practice. 
•    Own on-time delivery of assigned deliverables and escalate issues which prevent progress.
•    Partner cross functionally and contribute to design workshops to ensure solutions address business needs.
•    Develop mock ups to support the discovery/requirements process, drive alignment on the target solution, clear deliverables and level of effort.
•    Highlight technical constraints to drive conversations around trade-offs and prioritization.
•    Highlight changes in requirements, to drive priority decisions and maintain alignment across the project stakeholders. 
•    Working with key stakeholders to ensure that solutions being developed are fit for purpose and sustainable
Data Quality and Governance:
•    Own the integrity and quality of your developments ensuring they are documented to remove risk and dependencies.
•    Adhere to data standards, naming conventions, and data classification frameworks
•    Develop source of truth datasets aligned with best practices
•    Highlight data quality and process issues impacting reporting accuracy.
•    Support peer review process, ensure coding, visualization, documentation and professional standards are maintained in the team’s output and public facing activities.
•    Support junior analysts to aide their development and ensure a high development standard across the team. 
Innovation
•    Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Reviewing code base and working practices to ensure it is consistent with the latest updates and best practice.
•    Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of analytics capability.
•    Identify and suggest improvements to support progression towards best-in-class analytics capabilities for data modelling and visualization. 
•    Develop internal partnerships & work closely with business analytics & IT resources to establish a robust analytics community for knowledge sharing

Qualifications

Qualifications 
•    At least 5+ years experience in Analytics with 2+ years experience implementing data models. 
    Experience in Supply Chain preferred.
•    Bachelor’s Degree with preference towards Data Science, Computer Science, or IT-related discipline
•    Solid understanding of relational databases, data governance and modelling best practices with hands on implementation experience. 
•    Expert proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI / SAP Analytics Cloud with high exposure to  data warehousing/modelling tools like Datasphere (preferred) or Google Big Query (GCP) 
•    Expert in SQL with experience with Ability to conduct advanced operations such as indexing, normalization, scripting, sub-queries, parameterization. 
•    Experience developing BI projects in large IT ecosystems with multiple Business Intelligence platforms & data sources
•    Understanding of the data available from supply chain software like SAP IBP, SAP APO, & SAP ECC
•    Exposure to a general-purpose coding language, e.g. Python or R, and experience creating user facing developments with robust error handling and logging where required. Strongly preferred
•    Exposure to automation tools (RPA) preferred
•    Experience developing in Agile environments with multiple, varied stakeholders. 
•    Experience using project management tools such as Jira and code/documentation management such as GitHub

The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $115,000-$130,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
