In this leadership role, the Senior Director will be tasked with creating a comprehensive 3-5 year strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s long-term goals, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain. This includes developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives that not only enhance profitability but also elevate the customer experience by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.


The Senior Director will lead the enterprise productivity supply chain pillar, driving initiatives that optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency across all functions. By fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, the Senior Director will develop a best-in-class supply chain fulfillment team, ensuring that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and capabilities to meet evolving market demands.
Additionally, the Senior Director will serve as a key partner in the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with broader business objectives. This role will require strong relationship management skills, particularly in cultivating partnerships with key distributors and third-party logistics providers, to ensure optimal execution and service delivery.
The Senior Director of Supply Chain Fulfillment will be instrumental in driving the organization’s success through effective supply chain management, ensuring that the company remains competitive in a dynamic market while delivering exceptional value to customers and partners alike.

Role Responsibilities

1. Fulfillment Execution Oversight:
• Directly oversee fulfillment execution for the North America region, including Customer Service and Collaborations, Warehousing, and Transportation in the USA and Canada.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of supply chain processes and services.
2. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive 3-5 year strategic plan for supply chain fulfillment that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Identify and prioritize key initiatives to drive operational improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
3. Cost and Service Optimization:
• Strategically balance costs, service levels, and productivity across the region while enhancing the reliability of operations.
• Develop and lead cost-saving initiatives that contribute to the overall profitability of the organization.
4. Continuous Improvement Culture:
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams by integrating best practices from the Center of Excellence (CoE) into daily operations.
• Encourage innovative thinking and proactive problem-solving among team members.
5. Order to Delivery Process Optimization:
• Optimize the Order to Delivery Process, ensuring accountability for On-Time Performance to Customers and Distributor Partners.
• Lead key customer-focused projects in North America, providing exceptional support and nurturing long-term business relationships.
• Develop operational methodologies, enhance skills and capabilities, and achieve outstanding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
6. Distributor Relationship Management:
• Actively manage the relationship with the primary distributor, Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (SGWS), ensuring alignment and collaboration on key initiatives.
7. 3PL Provider Management:
• Cultivate and manage the relationship between Suntory and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring optimal execution.
• Lead monthly and quarterly review meetings to address operational challenges and future initiatives, including maintaining inventory integrity at 3PL locations.
8. Collaboration with Global Teams:
• Collaborate closely with Global Logistics and CoE teams to implement Distribution and Logistics strategies, processes, and standards that enhance operational performance.
9. Enterprise Productivity Leadership:
• Lead the enterprise productivity supply chain pillar, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements across the supply chain that result in cost savings.
• Develop and implement best practices to drive productivity and operational excellence.
10. Team Development:
• Build and develop a best-in-class supply chain fulfillment team, focusing on talent acquisition, training, and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, with a focus on fulfillment operations.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with supply chain software and tools, as well as a solid understanding of industry trends and best practices.
