Responsibilities

Suntory Global Spirits has committed to implementing a standard global process leveraging industry best practices across our Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence. This will require a Supply Chain transformation program to evolve our global way-of-working across Demand Planning in each region. The Global S&OP and Fulfilment Center of Excellence (CoE) is essential to the development and implementation of this business transformation program. The Senior Manager Planning & Analytics CoE NA is a critical role for this function.

 

The Senior Manager Demand Planning & Analytics CoE NA is a leadership position who has experience in leading demand planning transformation.  This position is primarily accountable for leading the strategy and execution of demand planning transformation for the International Region while also driving select global initiatives. 

 

This position will collaborate with the S&OP Leadership, Regional S&OP teams, Finance, IT, and Commercial teams in the International Region to support the demand planning needs for the implementation of the business transformation program. This position will report to the Director Demand Planning & Analytics – Global S&OP and Fulfillment CoE.

Role Responsibilities

•    Global S&OP Transformation Roadmap:  Support the multi-year transformation roadmap in collaboration with S&OP Leadership in the regions.  Incorporate the feedback from the regions into the design process to ensure the Blueprint is technically feasible, globally. The roadmap will encompass cross-functional projects that cover:
o    Process improvements based on insights from KPIs and external best practices
o    Systems functionality driven by the process design and knowledge of advancements in digital technology
o    Organization change management defining new ways of working and talent development & training based on the implementation of process and system improvements
•    Program Management & Execution: Collaborating with S&OP leadership in the regions to manage the implementation the Portfolio Review and Demand Planning-specific projects defined in the aforementioned roadmap.  Provide regular updates on these projects to the CoE and the Regional leadership teams.
•    Best Practices & External Benchmarking:  Developing and leveraging a professional network to identify best practices as an essential approach to continuously improve Suntory Global Spirits’ portfolio review management and demand planning capabilities globally.  Assess SGS demand planning and portfolio management capabilities against external benchmarks as a critical input to drive continuous improvement.
•    Commercial Analytics:  Collaborate with BU S&OP Leaders, BU Marketing, BU Commercial Sales and IT in the development of analytics capabilities, which inform drivers for demand planning.
•    Business Process Ownership:  Decision-maker on SGS S&OP Process specific to demand planning & analytics and portfolio review design and technology, including standard definition of KPIs and metrics.
•    Continuous Improvement:  Leveraging business metrics and KPIs to define improvement opportunities.  Support the development of the business case required for project approval, which will include IT and resource investments.

Qualifications

•    7+ years of demonstrated operational performance in leading Demand Planning within the S&OP Process for a major Business Unit for a CPG or Spirits company
•    Demonstrated performance in leading business transformation projects specific to Demand Planning
•    Experience in SAP IBP is preferred.
•    Strong knowledge in Digital Technology
•    Strong knowledge in Demand Planning best practices and proven application of these practices
•    Demonstrated performance in leading Demand Planning continuous improvement
•    Outstanding capabilities in developing talent

•    Bachelor’s Degree with preference towards Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations Research, or related majors; Advanced degree or specialized certification preferred

The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $145,000-$160,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
