Role Responsibilities

•    Manage the Sourcing of direct material goods spend in the US with a wide range of deliverables spanning global strategic category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), ensuring supplier performance, driving and supporting Suntory Global Spirits (SGS) internal and supplier sustainability initiatives and bringing forward supplier innovation.
•    This individual will drive excellence in the execution of SGS Category Management, including building and executing category strategies in support of SGS financials, strategic objectives, and growth initiatives for the 2030 mission.
•    The Sourcing Manager, Direct Materials, US will support internal cross-functional teams, including Global Packaging Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Planning, Finance, and Business Units.
•    Partner with internal partners to ensure best in class supplier agreements, contracts, and performance.
•    Support overall SGS Sourcing and broad business strategies in concert with global and regional category strategies through benchmarking, market analysis, and category spend management.
•    Responsible for ensuring suppliers in compliance with SGS Sedex and Global Citizenship requirements.
•    Support the development and execution of Proof+ initiatives, including sustainability, as well as from policy development to implementation across the Sourcing category supply base.

Qualifications

•    Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or an Engineering discipline
•    Demonstrated success managing supplier performance and developing relationships into partnerships
•    Expertise and understanding of category cost breakdown and trends in innovation and engineering 
•    Experience using SAP and Ariba platforms (preferred)
•    Experience with sustainability initiatives to establish and drive supplier scope 3 reductions
•    Experience using Sedex (or similar) platforms (preferred)
•    Ability to work cross-functionally and present at a Leadership level
•    Self-reliant, problem solver, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong communication skills and a conceptual thinker with ability to adapt to change•    Broad skill set with good judgment and a mature, practical, strategic, and creative mindset
•    Strong presentation skills and ability with MS Office products
•    Strong business acumen and ethics

 

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
