The purpose of this position is Lead and coordinate the launch of a new brand in the Mexican market, managing the P&L and driving the execution of the Route-To-Market activation plan and commercial strategy.  

Role Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the launch of a new brand in a high-performing sub-category in the Mexican market.
  • Manage the P&L for the project ensuring volume and financial targets are met.
  • Develop and execute the Route-To-Market (RTM) activation plan including BTL activities in collaboration with Retail and Out-of-Home teams.
  • Lead and animate a cross-functional working group to ensure flawless execution of the overall strategy.
  • Support commercial teams in opening new channels and lead execution strategies for these channels.
  • Coordinate and follow up on promotional materials with Retail and OOH teams.
  • Ensure alignment and validation of marketing assets with global and partner teams.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and conduct competitive intelligence.
  • Build and manage relationships with Retail, OOH, Distributors and Channel partners
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd party agencies

Main Complexities/Critical Issues:

  • Managing a major strategic project involving multiple internal and external stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Balancing marketing, sales, and operational priorities while managing the expected volume and rotations targets within given budget.
  • Ensuring perfect execution of RTM plans in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
  • Navigating cross-functional collaboration and alignment among diverse teams including Sales, Commercial, Finance, Supply, Legal, Regulatory, and Marketing.
  • Driving new channel openings and managing relationships with third-party partners.

Measurements / Outcomes Expected:

  • Achievement of rotations and volume targets and budget adherence.
  • Successful launch and market penetration of the new brand.
  • Effectiveness of RTM activation and sales campaigns.
  • Numeric distribution through new and existing channels.
  • Timely and quality execution of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and strength of cross-functional collaboration.

Key Decisions:

  • Approval and prioritization of RTM activation plans and budgets.
  • Strategic decisions on channel development and commercial execution.
  • Allocation of resources across sales and commercial initiatives.
  • Validation of marketing assets and promotional materials.
  • Adjustments to project timelines and deliverables based on market feedback and performance data.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing:

  • All activities are reviewed for safety to self, staff, and others.
  • All hazards are identified, and appropriate management strategies recommended.
  • All accidents and incidents are reported on appropriate forms and issues for resolution and management articulated

Compliance with Policy & Procedures:

  • Operating in accordance with SBF policies and procedures
  • Other duties deemed necessary by SBF for the achievement of business outcomes

Qualifications

Essential: 

  • Experience in project management and product/brand launches
  • Commercial experience with strong commercial affinity
  • Trade marketing experience in category management and promotion, point of sales visibility, events, and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of Retail and Out-of-Home trade environments
  • Sales-field experience
  • Leadership and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong relational and operational excellence
  • Cross-functional management skills
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and decision-making ability
  • Analytical, synthesis, and recommendation skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and English 

Desirable: 

  • Experience in FMCG or beverage industry
  • Experience in managing third-party partnerships
  • Additional language skills
