This dynamic role is based at the James B. Beam Distillery in Clermont, KY, within the Events Department. The Event Sales & Outreach Manager will be responsible for driving revenue
through event sales, managing group visits, and representing the homeplace in community outreach initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
Event Sales:
o Manage all facility event inquiries and bookings.
o Manage the average annual revenue generated at approximately. $450,000+ per year
o Coordinate events contribution that assist in The Kitchen Table generating $850,000 in annual event Food & Beverage revenue.
o Assist Homeplace Coordinator in events that generate $1,200,000 in revenue for the American Outpost.
o Ensure effective communication regarding all facility usage on campus.
o Manage external event staffing needs.
o Manage vendor relationships for event assets.
o Manage external event and facility rental budgets.
o Create unique and customized event experiences for clients.
o Maintain accurate historical data on event visits for budgetary purposes.
Group Management:
o Cultivate and manage relationships with group vendors and travel companies.
o Schedule and manage large-scale group visits, tailoring experiences to meet the specific needs of expected 200+ unique groups per year.
o Maintain accurate historical data on group visits for budgetary purposes.
Community Outreach:
o Represent the distillery at community events, including chamber of commerce meetings, tourism events, business expos, and relevant trade shows.
o Build and maintain a contact list for future outreach efforts.
o Manage the 4+ third-party facility rental websites we operate.
General Support: Contribute to other American Outpost functions as needed.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 years of successful experience in hospitality operations, event sales, or a related field.
Financial Management: Experience managing budgets and accounting.
Organizational & Time Management: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Results-Oriented: Proven ability to drive results independently and as part of a team.
Education: College degree preferred.
