The Lab and Documentation Coordinator II has the opportunity to work closely with internal teams to support the creation and launch of new and exciting products. This role plays an integral part on the Global Research & Development (R&D) team by assisting the scientists with specification management which enables the team to create new liquids with the necessary documentation across multiple departments and Operating Units (OUs).

Role Responsibilities

•    Oversee specification creation beginning with building raw materials and formulas through routing and monitoring specifications during the process, working cross functionally to prioritize approvals.  
•    Manage multiple specification projects simultaneously with attention to details with an organized structure.           
•    Responsible for ensuring specifications are updated in a timely manner and owns the overall maintenance of specs as needed.
•    Train new team members on current specification system and ways of working.
•    Ensure Kosher Certification is up-to-date for ingredients and flavored finished products produced at Frankfort on the Kosher Certification website.  Attend meetings with visiting rabbis. 
•    Collaborate as the main contact with flavor and ingredient vendors to obtain accurate and comprehensive documentation, fully own the process, verify documentation quality, establish service level agreements, and maintain organized records for product development and compliance.
•    Work with the DevEx team to facilitate system upgrades and improvements while revising the Standard Operating Procedures to enhance smooth change management. 
•    Executes capital requests for the Product Innovation and Technical Research Team. 
•    Participate actively in team building and broader Suntory Global Spirits and external initiatives.

Qualifications

•    Associates degree in science related field required. B.S. in science related field preferred. Scientific training required. 
•    Experience in food and/or beverage industry preferred.
•    Minimal Travel, mainly local Kentucky area but some domestic U.S. travel may be required.
•    Legally able (legal drinking age) and willing to consume alcoholic beverage samples in accordance with evaluation/research needs.
•    This role requires attention to details, strong organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
•    Must be an organized self-starter, flexible and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
•    Ability to develop strong working knowledge of general GIC procedures. Knowledgeable in SAP, Excel, Word and related programs for organizing data and summarizing information.
•    Team player with collaborative style and good listening skills.  Culturally sensitive and proven ability to understand and work well with others. Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently, paying close attention to detail and procedures. 
•    Strong communication skills in working with others. 
•    Technical (software) aptitude and experience required.
•    Ability to work in office at least ~60% of time, balancing work from home, as business needs require. For the first 3 months of employment/training, the amount of time in the office will be closer to 80%.
