The role of Monozukuri Lead – Global Liquid Quality provides a platform for personal and professional development in a wide range of areas as this role will interact with may cross functional partners withing Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Holdings which allows for potential career growth while supporting the Company’s needs. Role Responsibilities

•    Project delivery and project management activities for strategic initiatives and projects.  Will involve operating in a versatile manner, adapting to different levels of hands-on project involvement and ways of influencing the project work
•    Planning and communication on updates regarding MBC Monozukuri activities, involving the MBC SHD, MBC SGS, OU’s, among other teams.
•    Preparation and implementation of distillery research protocols for advancement of Monozukuri Playbook initiatives, following through data analysis, final report and changes in unit operations specs.
•    Supporting the cross-functional workstreams to build and deliver MBC-M activities, focusing on the technical approach to the distillery unit operations experiments to ensure a continuous improvement of the liquid sensory quality, in adherence to the MBC philosophy.
•    Supporting MBC – M technical execution at OUs, partnering with GIM team and other technical experts, ensuring alignment and clear understanding of the goals as proposed in the Monozukuri Playbook.
•    Drive targeted analytics to support key decision-making moments and to drive better clarity on the strategic options available.  This will require taking a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to ensure analysis can be done efficiently and in support of a clear set of communication materials / outputs.
•    Partnering with Technical Manager and Director, Global Liquid Quality and SHD MBC Labs to prepare quarterly updates / presentations to senior stakeholders, including the Supply Chain Leadership Team and Suntory Holdings Monozukuri executives (i.e., Monozukuri Committee).
•    Partnering with Global Liquid Quality and Suntory Holdings to drive Blender’s Committee agenda, including strategy definition, mid-term planning, and bi-annual conference execution.
•    Creates agenda/content for technical revision of advances in MBC-M with stakeholders of the program.
•    Active participation in cross-functional discussions to continue building MBC, defining the operating model and resources needed for 2035 vision.

Qualifications

•    B.S. Degree in Engineering, Scientific or related fields with specific Quality, Distillation, Maturation &/or Processing experience a strong desire.  Preferred with 2+ years of experience.
•    Experience in creating, planning and performing technical research in highly complex plants and environments.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, including timely self-starting follow-up and commitment to deliverables, and openness to give and receive feedback for improvement.
•    Demonstrated experience working across and up, within the organization, gaining credibility amongst managers, peers, and other leaders.
•    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture within Global Quality & broader SGS.
•    Ability to travel globally to partner in project work with internal & external clients, as well as support implementation at SGS facilities – travel approximately 10-30% with half local KY operations and Chicago/NYC corporate offices, and balance of other SGS locations. 
•    Ability to work in office at least ~60% of time, balance work from home, as business needs allow.
