Mission of Role

The Maintenance Manager must have strategic focus and be able to identify issues early to find permanent solutions.  The manager will work cohesively with the leadership team to identify strategic opportunities for continuous improvement and then drive the process to impact the results.  The manager contributes to the success of the overall plant operation by empowering direct reports and other employees to meet the production requirements.  The manager is also accountable for the safety, quality and efficiency of the skilled craft associates.

Role Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote environmental health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.
  • Drive continuous maintenance improvement program to promote world class asset care
  • Accellerate preventive, predictive and periodic maintenance programs with emphasis on reliability and improvement
  • Keep abreast of technological developments that could be used in the facility to increase company position in the marketplace
  • Provide coaching and guidance to director reports & maintenance staff to ensure members are performing in an acceptable manner.  Address and take necessary measures to ensure accountability & issue corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Manage all maintenance activities within the Clermont campus & associated warehouses, physical plant utility systems and stockroom operations.
  • Monitor and control stockroom, distillery, operation & facility repair budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, ISO, OSHA, TTB, EPA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare to meet maintenance adherence with partnership through scheduling teams
  • Engage the workforce and motivate them to work with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Lead an inclusive culture environment
  • Support and implement all Company Policies and adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, specifically the grievance procedure
  • Safety is everyone’s responsibility; identify risks and report violations, near misses, or injuries immediately
  • Knowledge of GMP’s, safety standards, quality standards and demonstrated ability to react and communicate effectively to issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology
  • or related field.
  • 3-5 Years of experience in maintenance supervision
  • Proven Root Cause Problem Solving skills using 5 Why, DMAIC, Fishbone
  • Ability to collect & analyze data for decision making
  • Strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, equipment design and function and project management
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Coaching/Mentoring Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • ERP & CMMS experience
  • Understanding of PLC’s, distillation, liquid processing & packaging equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Certifications/Licensure:  Green Belt Certification/Black Belt preferred TRACC (Continuous Improvement) experience
  • SAP, HACCP and ISO Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Business acumen to accurately assess ROI of projects and cost savings opportunities
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly walking, standing, and sitting
  • Rarely work at heights
  • Must be able to climb a minimum of three (3) flights of stairs in succession
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions
  • Have acceptable (or corrected) visual acuity and depth perception.  Have acceptable (or corrected) hearing
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English with understanding as it relates to job tasks
