Mission of Role
This role be responsible to ensure all direct tax (corporate income-tax and transfer pricing) related compliances, litigation, and advisories.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing direct tax compliances and litigations including transfer pricing for Suntory Global Spirits in India
- Ensuring periodic Income-tax computation (provisions), deferred tax, advance tax computations for assigned entities
- Ensuring maintenance of Transfer Pricing compliances and documentation for India and coordination for global Transfer Pricing documentation with the help of consultants
- Work closely with tax consultants for advisory, transaction support, dispute resolution and litigation management
- Collaborate and align with Finance Teams to ensure timely collation of data/ information for tax compliance/ tax litigations
- Responsible for tax accounting
- Prepare tax reports in a timely manner
- Handling tax queries, audits, assessments, working with internal and external stakeholders and cross functional teams
- Ensuring timely filing of responses and representation before the tax authorities
- Analyzing/ exploring potential tax efficiency areas
- Working on projects intended to incorporate and improve the existing governance framework, and demonstrate resilience and effectively manage ambiguity related to the projects
- Independently manage critical tax advisories and support in their execution ensuring support to business functions and mitigating tax risks
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in related field or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of corporate income-tax and transfer pricing regulations
- Experience in tax advisory/ tax accounting/ tax compliances
- Ability to apply tax laws to relevant cases
- Working experience in managing litigations and compliances
- Experience in Alcobev industry/ FMCG sector a plus
- Ability to manage a team and work harmoniously in a team environment.
- Strong documentation and organization skills, including workflows and current and future state of processes.
