Mission of Role
The Business Analyst supports Sales, Trade Marketing, and Marketing teams by transforming fragmented and imperfect data into actionable insights and efficient working systems. This role goes beyond traditional data analysis. The expectation is to optimize existing systems, reduce manual workload, and enable better decision-making through integrated dashboards and data-driven processes. The role will also progressively enable the use of AI and advanced analytics to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of commercial decision-making across Southeast Asia

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
1)     Data Flow & System Optimization
a)    Utilize and optimize existing systems such as Salesforce, data transfer systems, and distributor data sources
b)    Improve current data flows without disrupting existing business operations
c)    Identify manual, repetitive, or inefficient data processes and redesign them for automation and simplification
d)    Manage data quality issues, including missing or inconsistent data, and structure them into usable formats

 

2)    Insight Generation from Imperfect Data
a)    Analyze incomplete or non-ideal datasets and extract meaningful insights
b)    Use AI-assisted analysis to interpret inconsistent datasets and accelerate insight generation
c)    Combine human judgment with AI-supported findings to enable faster, “good-enough” decision-making in dynamic markets
d)    Support commercial decision-making by identifying performance gaps, growth opportunities, and priority actions
e)    Balance analytical accuracy with business practicality to support timely decisions

 

3)    AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement
a)    Leverage AI and GenAI tools (e.g., AI copilots, automated insight generation, natural language queries) to accelerate analysis, reporting, and insight creation
b)    Apply AI-assisted techniques to summarize large datasets, identify patterns, and surface key commercial insights
c)    Explore opportunities to automate repetitive analytical tasks such as commentary writing, variance explanations, and data validation checks
d)    Partner with IT and regional teams to test, pilot, and scale AI-enabled analytics solutions where relevant
e)    Ensure AI outputs remain business-relevant, explainable, and aligned with company data governance and compliance standards

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience
1)    Technical & Analytical Skills
a)    Practical experience in data analysis or business analytics
b)    Experience building dashboards using BI or visualization tools
c)    Hands-on experience working with incomplete, unstructured, or inconsistent data

 

2)    AI & Digital Skills
a)    Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics or productivity tools (e.g., GenAI copilots, automated insight tools, advanced Excel/BI AI features)
b)    Ability to use AI responsibly to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analysis
c)    Understanding of data privacy, governance, and the limitations of AI-generated outputs

 

3)    Business & Communication Skills
a)    Ability to convert data analysis into clear business actions
b)    Understanding of business processes and operational workflows
c)    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
d)    Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and usability
