Role Responsibilities

  1. Apply principles of KAIZEN to continuously improve sales capabilities
  2. Lead the Learning Roadmap & Trainings by rolling out the Commercial Excellence Academy
  3. Design and execute commercial training programs aligned to business priorities (pricing, trade, RGM, GTM).
  4. Identify capability gaps through performance data, field feedback, and stakeholder inputs.
  5. Develop/ support in building practical, easy-to-use learning modules (toolkits, playbooks, case studies) for frontline teams.
  6. Deliver high-quality training sessions (classroom, virtual, and on-the-job) with strong business relevance.
  7. Ensure translation of training into action by embedding tools, templates, and routines in daily work.
  8. Partner closely with Sales team to customize training interventions based on market needs.
  9. Drive adoption of commercial tools and systems through focused training and handholding support.
  10. Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and impact on key performance metrics.
  11. Continuously improve content and delivery based on feedback and evolving business requirements.
  12. Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to scale best practices across regions/teams.
  13. Coordinate with internal and external trainers/partners to deliver capability programs effectively.
  14. Assist in managing capability calendars, budgets, and logistics to ensure smooth execution.
  15. Build strong engagement with frontline teams to drive learning adoption and continuous improvement.
  16. Coordinate and execute all capability programs while supporting recognition programs and awards
  17. Deliver face-to-face and virtual training courses and coach local sales, other commercial departments and 3rd parties concerned with advocacy, coaching, tools, etc educating them to transform it into action
  18. This role is varied and while based in the office, a large percentage of your time will be interacting with the local market teams. As a result, you can expect to be travelling to stay connected to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience of leading a team or being part of a Capability team.
  • At least 3 years of experience as commercial trainer
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial role within FMCG/spirits industry
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage end-to-end processes
  • You have conducted and managed projects at a regional and market
  • You are entrepreneurial, as well as strategic & conceptual thinker.
  • You have strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills and experience with delivering executive level presentations.
  • Ability to navigate effectively, influence and thrive in a multicultural and diverse matrix structure.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a wide range of situations, and ability to embrace and drive change.
  • Team player with a strong collaborative approach able to build an inclusive and outperformance culture.
  • Customer focused, people and results oriented.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to work within a deadline and deliver commercial KPIs.
