This role will play a key role in the creation of global brand strategy, creative and developing programs, assets,and tools for key PBMCs to realize the brands’ vision. This role will focus on servicing PBMCs needs, the U.K.being a key focus for implementation and main centre of gravity for the brand. Work will encompass buildingout compelling vision, strategy, creative and brand experiences, along with creating the key assets and tools toexecute on that vision, for PBMCs and the U.K. market.
Working with key cross functional and agency partners, this role will assist the overall Sipsmith team with thecreation of mid-term strategic marketing objectives and strategies, and will lead asset development, innovationmanagement, enabling market teams to deliver against volume, sales and profit growth objectives each year.
Role Responsibilities
(Gemba) Insight:
- Contribute to any key global brand updates required and business reviews for the U.K.
- Lead strategic liquid and product discussions.
Brand Foundations & Stewardship:
- Provide global brand strategy guidance and brand governance information to markets’ Brand and Commercial Marketing teams.
- Facilitate exchange of information (competitive, regional insights, inventory, etc) and stay abreast of brand needs with regular touchpoints with PBMCs to ensure plans are created in adherence to strategy.
- Build relationships with cross-functional partners, including Innovation, Insights, Finance, PR, etc
Strategy & Planning:
- Working with the U.K. lead, help with contribution for the U.K. and sign-off of the Brand’s 3 Year Growth plans and annual plan in other PBMCs working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and markets
- Oversee budget management and forecasting process across global markets
- Work with Innovation leads on the next generation/evolution of the pipelines, including bringing strategic point-of-view and brand-centric thinking to these discussions.
- Support new product development and campaign execution, including go-to-market strategy and asset/programming creation
Experience Design & Delivery:
- Build the experience plans and launch plans for Sipsmith – with a focus on the U.K. needs–lead creative briefing, creative reviews, agency management, and a cross-functional team in developing those final plans.
- Lead elements of the launch plans for the new brands inclusive of digital, social, website, PR, experiential, and other touchpoints.
- Work in partnership with key target markets to deliver assets that support brand building and commercially effective activations
- Work to ensure creative is built to be digitally-oriented and takes advantage of new market realities.
Leadership:
- Lead the Global Sipsmith team (x 2 heads) ensuring that workplans and goals align to wider Sipsmith Global goals
- Act as an inclusive leader, and role model effectively to support our wider Proof Positive agenda, particularly in the representation of our brand globally
- Review resource required on an ongoing basis, and oversee the securing of external (agency) support where needed
- Work with the Founder & Head of Sipsmith on the planning, future direction and effective use of the Sipsmith Distillery Visitor Centre as a key brand asset across markets
Qualifications
· University educated or Equivalent Experience (Business/Marketing preferred)
· 7+ years brand management experience or creative/innovation management experience
· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to operate and influence across multiple levels
· Strong cultural awareness and curiosity with the ability to drive strong relationships and influence across steams in different markets to deliver global programs
· Strategic and commercial thinker, with the ability to deliver structured thinking and analysis, which shows knowledge of key metrics and levers to pull to achieve goals
· A track record in bringing new thinking and ideas to a business/brand in order to accelerate growth.
· Creative and passionate brand builder and thinker, who has a deep passion and understanding of consumer culture, global trends and the value of strong creative
· Strong experience of working with and managing agency teams
· Track record of cross-functional team leadership and motivation/enthusiasm for break-through marketing
· Able to work well in a fast paced, cross-functional environment, and navigate ambiguity
· Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects in a timely manner
