Role Responsibilities
· You will oversee the hiring and leadership of 3-5 seasonal support staff, along with a dedicated Lead Retail Specialist. You will work with the Consumer Experience Manager for additional support from the Bourbon Specialist team.
· You will be the leader in ensuring that the Gift Gallery is a welcome and inviting place with the highest expectation of service, being the primary point of contact for retail operations
· You will manage all vendor relationships, ensuring that creative, timeless and durable goods are at the forefront of the retail experience.
· You will seek and engage with small, independent artisans to align with
· Assist in the development of any future staffing plans or changes
· Work in rotation with other leaders to be “Manager on Duty” as needed
· Aid in the training and continuing education of Bourbon Specialist Team from a retail perspective
· Create and implement safe cash-handling procedures with leadership team and alerting management to related issues
· Organize and perform quarterly inventory and occasional spot checks and reconcile against POS On-hand volumes
· Manage Ambassador bottle and label inventory and the Gift Gallery interactions with our Ambassadors
· Oversee the daily opening and closing activities of the Gift Gallery
· Help to manage inventory of whisky for all hospitality departments
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years successful operations and marketing experience in the Spirits industry, high-end retail environment, or similar
· Highly energetic and motivating person – capable of building and championing Maker’s Mark’s vision of unreasonable hospitality
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
· Ability to work under pressure, balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Extremely strong communication (written and oral)
· PC application proficiency in the areas of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PPT and Word
· Understanding of spirits industry business acumen
· Weekends and some evening work will be required
· Proven self-starter with a track record of driving results
· Education- College Degree Preferred
