Position Summary:  Leader of the Maker’s Mark Regenerative Alliance (MMRA), transforming acres of farmland making up the supply chain for the hospitality industry, globally. Build a community comprised of hundreds of farms, restaurants and consumers through regenerative agriculture that pushes the boundaries of flavor both in our whiskies and in food.

Role Responsibilities

Strategy & Implementation

• Identify partner accounts for the MMRA that will story tell through experiences the importance of regenerative agriculture and SHFW/MM role in advancing the practices
• Builds relationships with the growers of the 1M acres in the research and acts as a liaison with partners
• Plans and executes trade education with bars/restaurants and local farmers
• Plans and executes consumer experiences with all partners, including local farmers
• Works with global PR, commercial teams, and diplomats to support elevating the SHFW and Maker’s Mark Distillery
• Builds community with likeminded partnerships who can magnify the impact and create deep connections with SHF/MM Distillery
• Track and share out progress with internal and external stakeholders

Star Hill Farm Culinary & Cocktail Program

• Create a rotating guest chef/mixology residency program with 1M acre partners
• Promote and market guest residency
• Develop a mentorship program that will train the next generation of hospitality staff while supporting the heavy staffing demands of the Culinary & Cocktail program
• Develop and support roadmap for accreditation in the hospitality industry

Additional Responsibilities

• Face of the Brand: Bring the distillery and farm experience to life globally by embodying our brand values and fostering brand love within the community
• Engaging Educator: Public speaking and presentation skills are used to recruit and engage brand fans, as well as reinforce brand affinity with internal teams
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Independently identify opportunities across customers, trade, and consumers and build solutions rooted in brand DNA and tailored for market needs
• Local Partnerships: Gain third-party recommendation through key account relationship and program development across influential On-Premise partners
• Know Your Numbers: Oversee budget to ensure effective spend against brand building priorities and track business results within market remit
• Location: Global Travel Required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Professional individual with at least 5 years’ experience in related field with hospitality, sales, or education background, 3 years of experience within the alcohol industry preferred
• Strong understanding of food supply chains in the hospitality industry and/or experience in soil health or agriculture.
• A strong sense of the On-Premise and Off-Premise retail landscape
• Genuine passion for Whisk(e)y, with extensive spirits knowledge and deep understanding of the alcohol industry
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
• Proficient in budget management and performance analysis
• Passionate, competitive, and naturally curious
• Reliable transportation required
