Role Responsibilities

Mission

The AI/ML Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the secure design, development, and operation of AI/ML systems across the organization. Working closely with AI engineering teams, this role identifies, assesses, and mitigates security risks in AI solutions, while implementing robust security controls and best practices.

In addition to strong technical ownership, this role acts as a key bridge between security and AI teams—balancing security requirements with functional needs, facilitating alignment, and enabling the secure adoption of AI capabilities across the organization. The role also drives the adoption of innovative security approaches, including the development of security-focused agents and automation.

Responsabilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across AI/ML applications and systems
• Evaluate, implement, and operate security solutions tailored to AI/ML environments
• Act as the primary point of contact for AI security, serving as a trusted advisor to AI engineering and product teams
• Provide hands-on technical guidance while also mediating between security requirements and business/functional needs
• Design and implement secure cloud architectures for AI/ML solutions
• Collaborate with AI engineering teams to build security-focused agents and automation
• Drive alignment between security and AI teams, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded without slowing down innovation
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of secure AI design patterns, engineering standards, and best practices
• Actively contribute to shaping AI security strategy and capabilities across the organization

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security and application security
• Strong experience in cloud security and architecture (Azure preferred, GCP a plus)
• Solid background in Application Security, including WAF, API security, and SAST/DAST tools
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure development practices
• Proven experience designing and implementing secure cloud architectures
• General understanding of AI/ML concepts and willingness to deepen expertise in AI security
• Experience working closely with engineering or product teams, acting as a bridge between security and development
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
• Cloud security or cloud architecture certifications (Azure/GCP) are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Work fluently in both English and Spanish
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability
• Continuous learning mindset to stay up to date with evolving AI and security trends
