You will manage a sales territory and provide leadership to members of a sales team. Develop, direct and control the sales business strategies and activities for the region in order to achieve required revenue, sales and profit targets. Role Responsibilities
Managing of Sales Territory:
- Continue to effectively manage a small territory for share growth through consistent and constant pre-planning and review of territory coverage
- Maximize display and merchandising opportunities
- Maximize on-premise and consumer penetration of brands
- Know the features and benefits of our brands as well as competitor brands
- Develop and maintain overall beverage alcohol knowledge, recognizing competitive activity and assess the opportunity for the company
- Preparation and timely submission of required reports
- Manage budgets to maximize effectiveness
- Ensure all account information is up to date
- Executing on-premise promotions/retail samplings
- Some evening and weekend hours are needed
Coaching and Mentoring Sales team: - Ensure the professional growth and effectiveness of Sales Reps
- Work with Finance team on sales tools requirements and assist in their rollout
- Implementation/measurement of Retail and On-Trade fundamentals
- Support sales representatives in their efforts to improve their fact-based selling skills and sales fundamentals. With specific attention to
- the Need Satisfaction Selling Process, Resolving Customer Concerns, and Overcoming Customer Indifference. Utilizing the features and benefits of Spirits at both retail and on-premise accounts
- Develop effective territory coverage of retail and on-premise accounts
- Provide sale reps with objectives in which to measure performance and direct personal growth
- Review and set objectives monthly to ensure objectives are met.
- Conduct formal monthly departmental meetings. Meetings to include but not limited to formalized agendas, product training and reinforcement of Steps of the Call, and role-playing.
- Remain within guidelines and budgets

Qualifications
- Minimum Post-secondary degree or diploma, Business or Commerce preferred
- Minimum 5 years previously related sales experience. Previous leadership experience preferred
- Track Record – Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in developing innovative strategies, fact based selling and delivering results
- Must be detailed oriented, and analytical
- Strong computer skills
- Travel – Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time
Salary Range for Ontario is $75k-$85k, along with a RRSP match after 3 months, and medical/dental and wellness benefits starting on day one. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset.
