What makes this a great opportunity?
You are responsible for managing the On Premise business for a large geographic area including a diverse population. This role will work internally alongside the Manager of Territory Sales and State Manager to contribute to delivery of the financial plan as well as execution excellence measured through Suntory KPI programs. External facing responsibilities will include five ONP Area Managers and their teams and exposure to upper level (GSM and above) roles within Southern Glazers.
Role Responsibilities
Management of On Premise KPI programs within the defined patch covering the On Premise business in Western Washington while meeting internal benchmarks and prompt and successful innovation launches. Uncovering opportunities for sales growth within the territory and recommended actions to better serve our distributor stakeholders and customers while calling on a defined Key Account list.
- Set goals with distributor to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual value, volume, and KPIs
- Work with internal and external teams to track quarterly KPIs ensuring all are met
- Work with marketing and state team to allocate BI and ensure ROI goals are met
- Conduct monthly/quarterly meetings with distributor leadership and key accounts to present programming/innovation
- Monitor distributor execution weekly and address all shortfalls with corrective actions plans
- Set up regular ride alongs with distributor to ensure programs are being executed
- Conduct quarterly sales blitz’s with distributor focusing on key holiday’s that align to our national blitz strategy
- Ensure Suntory is top of mind with distributor to win share and beat the house
- Provide regular sales training to distributor sales force in areas of brand awareness and standards
- Develop and take ownership of a list of 30 key retail outlets to achieve higher than standard KPI achievement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on contacts made, new placements secured, follow-up points, and effectively communicate market activity to distributor and Suntory state teams.
- Ensure all efforts and sales involvement is in compliance with state and federal laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in the Beverage Alcohol Industry and/or the CPG category
- Previous On Premise spirits industry experience preferred
- Three years consumer products sales experience
- Thorough knowledge of distribution, promotion and selling techniques
- Sales experience, including experience selling promotion and marketing programs
- Experience working with food and beverage distributors preferred
- Licensed driver of motor vehicles
Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Washington is $80-87k, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
